Hot Jobs: Early Intervention Opportunities in Alaska! OT and SLP!

Here’s a great opportunity to work with a dedicated team of therapists while enjoying all that the Last Frontier of Alaska has to offer.  Seeking both a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Occupational Therapist to work full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm in an Early Intervention setting with a transdisciplinary team.   CFYs are welcome to apply; supervision available.

The Early Interventionist SLP or OT provides assessment and intervention services and strategies to assist in fostering the growth and development of children, birth through age three.  Work is usually performed as a home-based service designed to directly involve parents in providing family-oriented social, nutritional, developmental, and behavioral opportunities for their children. The SLP or OT works as a trans-disciplinary team member providing specific information to support the development and implementation of Individualized Family Services Plan (IFSP) for clients of the organization. The specific disciplines represented by the team include early childhood or special education, social work, speech language, physical, and occupational therapy.

Qualifications: Must hold appropriate Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same).  Must have reliable transportation.
