Contract Outpatient Occupational Therapist/OT Job - Brownsville, TX

Our client is an outpatient pediatric rehabilitation center in South Texas, They are looking for a Pediatric OT to join their team on a contract or direct hire basis. This is a very progressive clinic, with an outstanding and better than competitive salary structure. Most clients are only mildly disabled, and are 90% Spanish speaking. (Bilingual candidates are a huge plus but not a requirement). Most are preschoolers, who take their therapy sessions in a natural play environment with some newborns and a small number of older elementary aged students and junior high/middle school students. Most clients have SID, Handwriting and Memory issues but there is a combination of all diagnoses. Although these children are offered OT services in their school districts, they are only given group therapy there and only once or twice per week. The kiddos who go to our client are looking for more intense and one one one services.

It has become well known over the years for being a popular Spring Break location with college students in the United Stated. It has beautiful resorts and condominiums as well as its own golf course community. South Padre Island also has, Schlitterbaun, a popular Texas water park. Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy; a current state license (or eligible) if applicable.
