Part-Time School Speech Language Pathologist/SLP Job - Houston, TX

EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS....

WOW.....can you believe that a premiere school district on the West Side of Houston has a need for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work 2-days per weed for the remainder of the school year!!!!   We were just notified by our client that they are looking to add a "Part-Time" SLP for 2 days per week in their district in the "Colony Area" of Houston for the remainder of the 2011-12 School Year.   Caseload will be "secondary Level" campuses...very close to each other.  The SLP will be expected to provide therapy and write IEPs for all students that they service. Minimal training on our IEP writer will be necessary.  Therapists with prior knowledge of Special Education Manager (SPEDMAN) is preferred.

Our client, is a public school system located on the Southwest corner of Houston, looking to add a Pediatric SLP to help them for the 2011-2012 School Year.... and beyond if you like!  This is a client where we have contractors currently and our candidates just love the district, the speech supervisor, and the "team atmosphere". SLPs have their own autonomy to decide the methods they employ to treat their students (pull-out, inclusion, etc), and an individual mentors...even for experienced therapists. There are monthly team meetings that you are invited to attend. They really go out of their way to make everyone feel like they are important and part of the TEAM! Hours are 7:45 - 3:45 working on 1 Campus.

To qualify for this position, you need to hold a Master's Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; have been awarded your CCCs by ASHA; and a current state license (or eligible) if applicable......or....be a CFY with some Pediatric Experience during clinicals...or prior experience working with children.

PAY RANGE FOR CONTRACT are $40 - $44 hr, based on experience; Completion Bonus; CEU $$$; Relocation Assistance; and Per Diem paid where applicable!
