School Based Speech Language Pathologist/SLP - Bay City, TX
EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS....
Brand NEW Listing...this one won't last long in this location! Our Client is a public school located near the coast of Texas They are looking to add one more "contract" Speech Pathologist to their team for the 2009-2010 School Year....and possibly beyond. They will definitely consider a CFY....but cannot use an assistant at this time. Warm weather year-'round....close to the barrier islands with warm sand beaches. Don't get caught up in the traffic, smog, and congestion of the BIG City....come live where life is good and the people warm and friendly!
Caseload: Elementary school with caseload of 38 includes PPCD and some lower functioning students – no life skills. High school with caseload of 10 of which 5 are in severe/profound range. Most therapy is focused on artic and language. Some dysfluency. You will be able to schedule your own caseload where you have the flexibility to use the methods (Pullout, Inclusion, etc) that you need to utilize.
Why this location? Bay City is located about 1 hour south of Houston, TX in a semi-rural area. We are 20 minutes from the beach and from great fishing. Speech staff of 6 other therapists to provide support. Pace is less hectic than that of big city.
Qualifications: Must hold a Master's Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; a current state license (or eligible). CFY's SHOULD DEFINITELY APPLY AS SUPERVISION IS AVAILABLE!
PAY RANGE: $36 to $42 per hour...based on experience. Will pay more for Bilingual! Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate!
