School Based Speech Language Pathologist/SLP - Houston, TX

Hurry....this position just came open...and it won't last long in this location! It's a Contract position working with a Pediatric population for the remainder of the 2009-2010 School Year...beginning in January 2010 through June 5, 2010....and most definitely into the following school year! This opportunity will work for a Speech Language Pathologist with their CCCs ONLY! BILINGUAL SKILLS WILL RECEIVE ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION! Our client, is a public school system located on the Southwest corner of Houston, looking to add a Pediatric SLP to help them for the 2009-2010 School Year.... and beyond if you like! This is a client where we have contractors currently and our candidates just love the district, the speech supervisor, and the "team atmosphere". SLPs have their own autonomy to decide the methods they employ to treat their students (pull-out, inclusion, etc), and an individual mentors...even for experienced therapists. There are monthly team meetings that you are invited to attend. They really go out of their way to make everyone feel like they are important and part of the TEAM! Hours are 7:45 - 3:45 .
They currently have need for an SLP to work with a mixed population...adding variety to your caseload and day! Caseload will generally be @ 50 kiddos, population of one PPCD unit and the rest typical articulation and speech language delay. WOW...this would allow for a very broad spectrum of student offering a variety to your work week! Their district has plenty of mentoring and supervision for a CFY but cannot take a speech assistant at this time.
Qualifications: Must hold a Master's Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; a current state license (or eligible) if applicable. MUST HAVE YOU CCCs FOR HIS OPPORTUNITY!
PAY RANGE FOR CONTRACT: $39 - 42 hr, based on experience; Completion Bonus; CEU $$$; Relocation Assistance; and Per Diem paid where applicable! We now offer a 401k for our contractors with company match!
