EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS....
Why San Antonio, Texas....and Why "pediatric therapy"? San Antonio is a multi-cultural, progressive town offering professional sports, theme parks, great shopping, a wonderful school system, LOW unemployment, and best of all....and warm, temperate climate year-round! There's always something to do....or something happening in this town....YOU need to come and see for yourself!
Our client is a "therapists-owned" company providing Pediatric Therapy services to public, private, and charter schools, clinics, as well as pediatric home health and Early Intervention settings. This team of 50+ professionals are focussed, trained, and dedicated to providing the highest quality care possible for the students of the San Antonio, Texas area. Therapy is provided to children, ages ranging from birth to 21. You will decide which method of treatment is best to use, then set up your own schedule based on caseload. At this time, they are seeking SLPs with their Cs, or CFYs to join them for the 2009-2010 School Year and beyond. For school-based opportunities, you will have the possibility to supervise SLPAs, while completing evaluations and other supervisory duties; but providing hands-on therapy to whatever extent you desire. Again...you decide how much actual hands-on patient care you provide. We have placed over 20 therapists and assistants with this client in recent years, and have several on their third and fourth year with them!
With several positions available NOW, we can utilize both an SLP with their CCC or SLP-CFYs. The setting is primarily in the local schools, but could possibly include working in local clinics, and Summer work in a Pediatric Home Health/Early Intervention environment (if summer work is desired). The school age children vary in ages, but home health is typically birth to five and sometimes up to age 8 for medically fragile children. Although this client does not offer health insurance directly, they work closely with an insurance company that provides very reasonable rates to her employees. Although we are looking for SLPs to work "full-time", therapists looking to work a more limited schedule are highly encouraged to apply...there is always room for motivated professionals looking to keep their skills current, while making a difference in the children's lives.
Qualifications: Must hold a Master's Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; a current state license (or eligible) if applicable. CFY CANDIDATES ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO APPLY...WE CAN PROVIDE MENTORSHIP FOR YOUR CFY YEAR!
Pay Range: $40 - $48 hour, based on experience!
