School Speech Language Pathologist/SLP Job - Easton, MD
Are you searching for a school based speech therapy position where you are not being overworked with a heavy caseload? Maybe one where you are treated like family, not just as an employee? We may have the job for you! We are looking for a speech therapist (preferably with C's) for a position located halfway between Dover, DE and Annapolis, MD on Maryland's Eastern Shore. This is a private residential school position working Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Caseload is on average 16-25 students with various disabilities, including but not limited to multiple disabled, autistic, fragile x, seizure disorder, emotionally disabled, etc.
The students return home every 5 weeks for a long weekend, plus you will get all of the normal school holidays off. The position begins as soon as possible, and the school year runs through June 21, 2012. The students range in age from 5 - 21, and the average caseload is about 20 students. Autism is the most common diagnosis at this school. The school will consider a contract or direct hire therapist.
Qualifications: Must hold a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; a current state license (or eligible) if applicable. Strong CFY candidates will be considered.
This school offers an excellent benefits package including a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer contribution and match. Salaries begin at $50,000 and go up according to the experience level of the therapist.
