Therapy Cap Exception Process Extended Under the Temporary Extension Act of 2010 - featured March 5, 2010
< Back to Previous PageAOTA, APTA and ASHA efforts to reinstitute the cap exceptions process resulted in a short-term victory on March 2, when Congress passed an extension to the exceptions process of the Medicare therapy cap through March 31, 2010, and retroactively from January 1, 2010.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will pay all claims through March 31. Additional Congressional action is needed to ensure that the Cap does not go back into place on April 1, when the current extension expires. Congress must hear from you as an advocate for your clients and your practice!
