Therapy Cap Exceptions Extension Passed as Part of Health Care Reform Bill - featured March 26, 2010

< Back to Previous Page

On Tuesday, March 23rd, President Obama signed into law the health care reform bill passed by US House of Representatives earlier in the week along party lines. The health care legislation is now law though the Senate will vote on some significant amendments soon. The bill included a full year extension of the therapy cap exception process carrying the cap fix through the rest of 2010.

ASHA, AOTA, and APTA all endorsed the passage of the therapy cap exceptions extension, stopping short of endorsing the entire health care bill as the rest of the bill is not strictly in the organizations' areas of advocacy.
