The 10-credit hour program consists of three courses, which can be completed in two to three semesters of part-time study. Course work can be started during the fall, spring or summer semester. The course work and discussions are conducted online. Students are asked to attend class on campus 2-3 times depending on the schedule of classes, but out-of-state students are waived from the on-campus classes.

Students enrolled in a UIC College of Nursing graduate program may also enroll in the certificate or take individual courses as electives.
