PediaStaff is recruiting for a Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a school position from this October through May in the Laveen, AZ area. This is a full-time position working with students from K – 8th grade.  This is a fantastic position for a Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a quick difference in the lives of many students.

*  The Speech-Language Therapist will work with elementary and middle-aged students at one school site
*  Diagnoses vary from mild to more severe
*  The Speech-Language Pathologist will report to the Principal/Director of Student Services
*  Collaborates with staff to enhance speech and language development in the classroom setting
*  Completes all job duties within required timelines per federal and state law, district policy, and procedures
*  The Speech-Language Therapist acts as case manager for students whose primary eligibility category is speech-language impairment
*  Provides accommodations in the classroom including visual aids or supports, or augmentative communication systems
*  Participates in multidisciplinary evaluation teams to identify students in need of special education
*  Participates in team meetings for the development of students’ individualized education programs
*  Completes relevant paperwork within required timelines per federal and state law, district policy, and procedures
*  Maintains records and bills Medicaid In Public Schools

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree (M. A. or M. S.). Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Arizona Speech and Language Certification from Arizona Department of Education. Speech and Language Pathology License from the Arizona Department Health Services.
