Therapy Technology in the News – Pocket SLP

The speech world is abuzz with news of a new iPhone App for Speech Language Pathologists. Calling it a “technological breakthrough for speech therapy,” it seeks to replace paper cards with flashing images through the iPhone.
Said Corey Walker, practicing SLP and President of Synapse Apps, “Children who would scarcely sit still for more than a minute using cards, would stay engaged for an entire session when using applications on the Touch,” said Corey Walker, a practicing SLP and president of Synapse Apps. “Watching small children manipulate and interact with iPhone applications was nothing short of remarkable. That’s when I knew we were on to something big for our profession.”
