Four Day School-Based Occupational Therapist – OT

Location : Oswego, IL
Salary : $44.00 - $53.00/hour

Looking for a little less than full time? We have an opening for school-based Occupational Therapist in the vicinity of Oswego, IL—seeking four days per week.

Our client is looking to fill an occupational therapist position beginning in mid October for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year. This is a stellar opportunity to work with an amazing team that can help you take your therapy skills to the next level.  

*Four day position available for Occupational Therapist beginning mid-October; school-based contract.
*Occupational Therapists will treat in 3 buildings—
* Building one is a district therapeutic day school with young adults ages 18-22 yo in a transition center (2 days),
* These students are mostly consult minutes, functional OT, you’ll work on finding creative ways to support them, help them adapt, etc. Some EDBD kids, but well managed
* You’ll spend a day each in two elementary schools, an inclusion classroom and an autism classroom
*Caseload is about 40 students total, with a dozen of those consult only
*Training and mentorship available for all experience levels, seeking an OT with some school-based experience

The therapeutic day school/transition program is a great opportunity to get creative and work collaboratively with the faculty. You’ll work to bring an OT viewpoint to each student, finding ways to help them work and manage their day to day efficiently. 

 Qualifications: You will need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same).
