Manager of Pediatric Outpatient Programs - Washington, DC

We are seeking a Manager of Pediatric Outpatient Programs for a children's specialty hospital in Washington, DC, that provides services to children from infancy through age 21 in inpatient and outpatient settings. This family-centered medical facility provides a variety of therapy services to meet the child’s needs. 

* This desirable managerial position is open to a licensed PT, OT or SLP who has six years of pediatric experience
* Oversee therapy and operational activities for all outpatient programs including space availability, daily staffing, and equipment needs/concerns 
* Oversee development and revisions of therapy programs and procedures
* Manage family concerns as needed and work with Director to monitor therapy denials 
* Schedule work, ensure adequate staffing and evaluate performance in relation to department objectives and responsibilities.
* Responsible for personnel actions to include authorizing and/or recommending salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, termination, vacation schedules, leaves of absence, performance appraisals and resolving grievances and other personnel actions in coordination with the Clinical Practice Coordinators and Human Resources.  
* Demonstrate familiarity with all policies and procedures of the Outpatient Program.

Qualifications: 6 years of experience in pediatrics as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist. Supervisory experience preferred. You will need a current District of Columbia and Maryland licensure of OT, PT or SLP.  In addition, an SLP therapist must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (or be eligible for same).
