Pediatric Chief Psychiatric Medical Officer - Washington, DC

We are seeking a Chief Psychiatric Medical Officer for a children's specialty hospital in Washington, DC, that provides services to children from infancy through age 21 in inpatient and outpatient settings. This family-centered medical facility provides a variety of therapy services to meet the child’s needs.

* We are seeking a physician licensed to practice pediatric or adolescent psychiatry in the District, board-certified or board eligible in Psychiatry and whose responsibilities parallel those of the CMO with respect to patients with diagnosed mental illness, substance abuse conditions or co-occurring disorders.
* Participate in the development of organization-wide strategic, quality, medical and business planning and goal setting as related to mental/behavioral health.
* Collaborate with the Medical Director, QI staff and Care Coordination Department to monitor and evaluate the quality of behavioral health services being delivered by mental/behavioral health providers.
* As an executive, serve as a leader and clinical liaison with mental health providers and will communicate with behavioral health agencies and regulatory entities. 
* Hospital specializes in traumatic injuries and burns; wound care; premature infants; developmental disabilities; feeding difficulties; heart and lung diseases; ventilator-dependency, and many other medically complex health conditions.

Qualifications: Practice of child psychiatry for at least three years.  Familiarity with Medicaid system.  Experience with SSI eligible population.  Expertise in residential treatment for youth.  Multidisciplinary teamwork leadership.  Experience with regulatory accreditation requirements preferred. Must be a physician with a current license to practice without restriction pediatric or adolescent psychiatry and Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and remain in good standing. Medical Degree (MD, DO).

Relocation:
* Incentive potential of 10%
