Pediatric Occupational Therapist - OT - Kankakee, IL

If you are an Occupational Therapist who is looking to work in a variety of pediatric settings and expand your scope of practice, this is a position for you!  We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to work full time with our growing company in the vicinity of Kankakee. The caseload will be a mix of outpatient clinic children ages 3m-21 (most under 13) and some birth-3 home visits. The flexibility that this position offers will afford you the opportunity to broaden your skill set and to be mentored by a great team! 

*  Previous pediatric experience preferred; fieldwork counts!
*  On the clinic side, we ask that you set aside a few days per week for early evening appointments. You'll still finish by 6 or 6:30, other days end about 5 pm
*  If early intervention interests you, this provider can assist with credentialing or give you cases right away to add to your caseload as desired
*  With so many options, you'll never be short on visits
*  Rates are paid hourly in a three-tiered system that is competitive for each setting
*  Full benefits are also available including PTO, a matching Simple IRA program, money for license renewal, fitness and technology allowances as well as Continuing Education, Short term Disability insurance, and many other great things

You will need to hold a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same).
- Previous experience in pediatric Occupational Therapy is preferred, but excellent newer graduates with pediatric rotations under their belt could be considered
- Must be an OTR -- no OTAs need apply at this time.
- Familiarity with sensory disorders and the autistic spectrum
- Ability to build rapport with patients, their families, and other caregivers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills for documentation 
- Positive and patient demeanor

Pay: $35.00 - $56.25/hour
