Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist - SLP - Fort Smith, AR

Great opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist at a therapist owned clinic in Ft. Smith.  The position will cover a maternity leave, approximately 3 months with the possibility of going full-time.  This is 99% clinic work with the possibility of a few preschool children within 15 minutes of the clinic.  You will treat a variety of diagnoses including articulation, language delays, feeding, congenital genetic disorders, etc.  Clinic hours are 8:00 - 5:00 Mon - Thurs, with the option to work on Fri if you want.  CFY's and Speech-Language Pathologists with only adult experience will be considered.

*   The Speech-Language Pathologist will be part of a creative multi-disciplinary team in a fun and supportive work environment
*   Children range in age from birth to 21
*   The Speech-Language Pathologist will demonstrate particular competence in evaluating and treating the communication disorders associated with neurological impairments, oral motor      
    dysfunction, feeding impairments, and augmentative communication
*   Participates in developing family-focused goals and works as a team with parents, family members and caregivers to improve communicative functioning in children
*   Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with patients and families/caregivers; works collaboratively as a team member with other staff
*   Consults with schools, medical and other associated personnel to facilitate a continuum of care, adhering to agency policies and procedures related to confidentiality
*   Completes all documentation of patient care within required time frames and in accordance with established standards

Qualified Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist candidates for this amazing opportunity will have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or greater in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders; have an Arkansas SLP License (or be eligible) and have a desire to really make a difference.
