Asperger's Syndrome May Lose Place in DSM-V - featured November 13, 2009

The experts revising psychiatry's Diagnostic Manual. the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) are seriously considering taking Asperger's out of the manual. These clinicians say that the term is not evidenced-based and that it is not necessarily different than a mild diagnosis of autism. The change will likely be controversial.
