We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($48-57/hour) to support K-5th grade students  in the Addison, IL area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
• Current state OT license 

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details: 

• This position is a private therapeutic school, two days per week 
• They teach kids kindergarten through 5th grade with a primary dx of Autism Spectrum Disorders or ADHD 
• Some children also present with mild to moderate adaptive behaviors; this school does not accept kids exhibiting aggressive behaviors 
• School is home to a SLP and PT as well as a part time social worker; the team of teachers and staff are collaborative and retention rates are high 
• Hours are 9-3, you could flex your days and work shorter or longer days, as long as the caseload needs are met 
• Previous experience with kids, especially in a school-based setting, is highly preferred as you'll be the only OT on staff

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
