PediaStaff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We’re currently seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist in the Sycamore, IL area.
 
Qualifications: 

• You will need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy
• Current state license (or be eligible for same

Position Details:

• The position is located in DeKalb County for 4 days per week with districts in the Sycamore area 
• This team is about 25 strong and made up of OT/COTA, PT/PTA so lots of options for camaraderie 
• In this scenario, therapy is your primary responsibility. Helping with bus, lunch and recess is not necessary 
• This position is for next school year and beyond, should start around the week of August 11th 
• Caseload is in line with school-based needs, mostly elementary, but some options for middle or high school and/or PreK; you’ll have the option to voice your preferences 
• Would consider a PTA

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring equal access to educational programs for children with functional limitations or disabilities.
• Evaluating students’ physical abilities to determine therapy services needed.
• Supporting students’ physical well-being within the school environment.
• Preparing students for further education, employment, and independent living.
• Promoting education in the least-restrictive environment and preventing inappropriate placements and unnecessary services.
