Great opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant looking to spend a few months in Alaska to cover an FMLA leave starting at the end of November! You can continue for three months, six months, maybe stay even longer if you like! Caseloads are growing, waitlist, too! You won't be short of patients to treat!

Qualifications: 

  • Bachlor's Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology 
  • Current Alaska SLP license (or be eligible for same).

Role Overview:
PediaStaff is seeking a skilled and passionate Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. As a vital member of our clinic, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their families while enjoying a supportive and positive work environment.

Job Details:   

  • FMLA leave starting at the end of November
  • 3-6 month contract with possibility of extension
  • Kids are birth-18, but most patients are between the ages of 3-13 
  • Some common dx include emotional regulation, sensory disorders, ASD, syndromes and developmental delays 
  • If you are interested in and/or have experience with dyslexia and learning disabilities, they'd welcome those applicants
  • In-person only

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist SLP post evaluation to treat each child's unique communication strengths and weaknesses. 
  • Creating plans that implement measurable, achievable, and functional goals. 
  • Offering treatment to enhance communication abilities through various approaches. 
  • Working in a comprehensive care team to address a child's specific needs.
  • Informing parents and families about available treatment options and the importance of early intervention.
