Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant – COTA in St. Charles, IL area. This is a part time position available immediately, three days per week.
This opening covers an early childhood caseload. Students have mild to moderate cognitive impairments.
*Previous experience working with this age range and/or is a school-based setting is preferred
*Student hours are 7:45a-2:45p, three days per week

Qualifications:
- Associates's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- IL license to practice
- Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, fieldwork counts
- New grads will be considered if you've completed a school fieldwork
Role Overview:
As a COTA, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, following individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work on improving students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities and help to identify areas of need to develop individualized therapy plans.
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
- Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
