Qualifications: 

  • Master's level or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • IL OT license
  • Previous experience (fieldwork counts) in pediatric and/or school based therapy
  • Prefer candidate strong in sensory knowledge, organized, yet adaptable.
  • Ability to teach IEP/ school based knowledge experience is preferred
  • Will be supervising and has experience in this area

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

  • Schedule: .4 part time OTR splitting time between Elementary and HighSchool buildings – can be flexible 
  • Dates: ASAP- May 2026
  • Hours: 8:45-4pm Elementary school hours and 7:20-2:30pm High School hours – Supervision will be part time (approximately 16 hours total per week between the two schools)
  • .2 Supervision of a COTA at Elementary and .2 Supervision at HS.  There is a COTA 4 days/week providing services and the need is to have onsite supervision for this COTA. 
  • OTR will not provide direct services but will complete and oversee supervision and evals. Ages will include a mix of both K-5 and 9th-12th grade.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
