Salary : $50.00 - $56.00/hour

Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Occupational Therapist in the vicinity of Burbank, IL.

We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($52-55/hour) to support students in transition ages with higher needs (short description of caseload)  in the Burbank, IL area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications: 

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent Bachelor's Degree (grandfathered in) 
  • License to practice in the state of IL or eligible 
  • New grads welcome to apply
  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred, fieldwork counts

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

  • Schedule:  Full time
  • Dates:  8/18/25-6/26/26, there may be some orientation days earlier in August
  • Hours: Typically 8-4, depends on eact school assignment
  • Setting:  school-based
  • Caseload: combination of district programs, k-5 general and special ed, details to be discussed at interview
  • In-person only

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
