Here's an exciting opportunity for a teacher interested in working with children birth to three as a developmental therapist. 

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a Professional Teaching Certificate (or an Initial Certificate with a Birth to Age Three endorsement), or a Master’s Degree in a related field. Related fields include Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Early Childhood, or equivalent, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Special Education with relevant experience. If you are relocating to Alaska from out of state, we will gladly consider teachers that need to apply for the teaching certificate in AK. 

Compensation is based on experience and ranges from $57,000-85,000 per year. A comprehensive benefits package is offered that included 401(k), health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off (6 weeks!), tuition assistance and more.

As a Developmental Therapist, your job duties include:
*providing assessment and intervention services and strategies to assist in fostering the growth and development of children, birth through age three
*working as a team member using a coaching model to support the development and implementation of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) for families in the Anchorage area
*collaborating with social workers, speech, occupational and physical therapists

Work is usually performed within the family’s home or within natural settings in the community designed to directly involve parents in providing family-oriented, developmental and behavioral opportunities for their children.
