We're currently seeking an Early Intervention Physical Therapist ($50-55/ hour) to support Early Childhood in the Newport, OR area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications: 

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Physical Therapy license from the Oregon Board of Examiners is required 
  • Two or more years of clinical experience in pediatrics or in an educational setting is preferred 

Role Overview:
A school Physical Therapist works with children to support their physical development and participation in school. They evaluate, diagnose, and treat movement difficulties, helping children reach their developmental milestones and participate in classroom activities This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development. 

Job Details:   

  • Full-Time, In-person position 
  • Dates: August 25, 2025- June 12, 2026
  • Setting:  Early Childhood Building

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assessment of children's motor abilities in natural and educational settings
  • Development of individualized intervention plans to support physical development
  • Therapy implementation to address areas of weakness and improve functional mobility
  • Environmental modifications to enhance children's participation in educational activities
  • Parent/Caregiver education to support carryover of motor skills at home
