Middle School Special Education Teacher

Salary : $45.00 - $55.00/hour

Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: Special Education Teacher in Oakdale, MN. You'll work with a middle school caseload of 18-22 students.

We're currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher ($45-55/hr) to support students in 6-8th grade in a centerbased program in the Oakdale, MN area.  These students have autism or exhibit autism-like behaviors.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or higher, in education with training in Special Education
  • MN License, Tier 4
  • Previous experience as a sped teacher, especially working with students on the spectrum is preferred

Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

  • Schedule:  student hours are 7:30a-2p, staff hours may vary slightly
  • Dates:  ASAP through 6/5/26
  • In-person only

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Accommodate, modify and adapt lessons and curriculum as needed to meet individual student needs and IEP Goals
  • Support in the facilitation of IEP meetings as well as development of the IEP
  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental levels and interests of their students
  • Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior and school environment by applying positive reinforcement and/or behavior modification techniques as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans
