Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Interact positively with children and adults.
  • Use e-mail, including how to scan and attach documents.
  • Pass a criminal background check (fingerprinting).

Role Overview:
As a Speech Paraprofessional, you will support the SLP in a virtual learning center by assisting students, managing technology, reinforcing therapy activities, and helping create an engaging and organized learning environment.

Job Details:   

  • Schedule: Part-Time FMLA for maternity coverage
  • Dates: Early Nov 2025 through Jan 2026
  • Hours: 2 days a week, 8:15 AM- 3:15 PM, with more hours allowed when necessary (such as to facilitate IEP meetings).
  • You will help connect students to their virtual SLP
  • Caseload: Students in need of SLP Therapy 
  • In-person only

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide student support by assisting with engagement, redirection, and behavior management during virtual therapy sessions.
  • Assist with technology including setup, troubleshooting, and helping students navigate online platforms and therapy tools.
  • Reinforce therapy activities by modeling communication strategies, guiding practice, and supporting use of AAC or digital resources.
  • Collect and share observations on student participation, communication progress, and needs with the SLP.
  • Prepare and organize materials while maintaining confidentiality and following student IEP/504 guidelines.
