Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
- IL COTA license
- Previous school experience or experience in pediatrics is preferred, fieldwork counts
- Mentorship available for New Grads, training and support throughout your assignment
Role Overview:
As an COTA, you will help students develop fine motor skills, adapt to physical or cognitive challenges, or access appropriate educational tools and techniques under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details:
- Dates: ASAP- May 28, 2026
- Part-Time, 1-3 days/ week
- 2 different positions (can combine to make 1 full-time position)
- Setting: elementary & middle school resource and self-contained classrooms
- In-person only
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment of students' needs and abilities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized therapy plans to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and coordination
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
- Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
