Exciting Opportunity in the Washington, DC area: Outpatient Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – COTA

We're currently seeking a Pediatric Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant – COTA ($60,000 – $68,000) around 20 minutes from downtown Washington, DC. Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- MD state license
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Schedule: Full-time
- Multidisciplinary clinic with Speech, behavior therapy (RBT to assist with therapy)
- Caseload includes a lot of low verbal or nonverbal kiddos, as well as children on the autism spectrum. Experience with or willingness to learn to use AAC devices is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker is a huge plus, but a translator is available for Spanish-speaking families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment of childrens' needs and abilities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized therapy plans to improve childrens' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and coordination
- Educate parents and caregivers on how to help their children with daily activities.
- Develop strategies to help children with sensory processing issues.
