We're currently seeking dedicated School Nurse – RN ($32-45/hour) to support students in the Elmhurst area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications: 

• Provide illness care, first-aid care, food allergies, seizures, asthma, orthopedic concerns special needs students and basic emergency care to students according to the policies and procedures of the school district  
• You will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (PEL – school nurse) and a current Illinois Registered Nurse License.  (Professional Education License with an endorsement in School Nursing)  
• Hearing and Vision Certification preferred but not required

Role Overview:
As a School Nurse (RN) you will, provide primary health care and emergency services to students and staff, promote wellness, and serve as a health resource within the school community. This role supports student success by addressing health-related barriers to learning.

Job Details:   

• Schedule:  Full time M-F (40 hours/week)
• Dates:  Immediate Need – End of school year 
• Elementary hours with paid lunch
• Setting: Elementary ages K-5th
• Caseload:150
• In-person only 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide first aid and emergency care.
• IEPs / 504's
• Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures).
• Conduct contact tracing and illness follow-ups.
• Support individualized health plans for students with special needs.
• Maintain accurate student health records.
• Ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies.
