Qualifications:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
- Meet the state requirements for Educator License with Stipulations endorsed for Paraprofessionals
- RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with behavioral needs preferred
- Previous experience working in schools preferred
Role Overview:
A School Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), focusing on improving behavior and teaching skills for students with special needs. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details:
- Dates: ASAP- 1/26/2026
- Hours: 7am- 3:30pm
- In-person only
- This position would function as an aide or building support, and their BCBAs cannot sign off on their performance monitoring. No supervision is offered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under a BCBA's supervision to carry out behavior intervention plans and therapy programs designed for students with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of student behavior, skill development, and responses to interventions.
- Use positive reinforcement strategies to help students learn new skills and improve social, communication, and other functional behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to discuss progress, coordinate activities, and advocate for student needs.
- Implement strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors.
