Fall Art Projects – Fold Over Leaf Painting

This is one of my favorite fall art projects, and the reason I am sharing it is that I will be doing this with my classroom of 2 and 3-year-olds in the coming weeks. This fall leaf painting activity is super simple, and there really is no way to do anything wrong. Children interested in the process of making the painting symmetrical by folding it over will love how that works but children too young or simply not interested yet can still enjoy painting the leaf however they want. Also, for older children, the challenge of cutting the leaf out is a great exercise for their scissor skills as well as patience, of course, if that’s too much an adult can do the cutting.
