SLP Corner: Four Early Intervention Teletherapy Activities

Early Intervention services are appropriate for children from birth until their third birthday.  This service delivery model is rooted in training parents to work on developmental goals from speech to physical motor skills during everyday play routines.  My experience has taught me that the more practice a child has of any target, the quicker you will witness developmental gains and progress.

When the nation shifted gears to teletherapy, many parents and speech pathologists assumed that early intervention therapy sessions were weekly opportunities for a child and therapist to interact via a computer.  This could not be further from the truth.
